We do not use any chemicals on our dogs, internally or externally, except necessary vaccinations. There are herbal and homeopathic remedies for heartworm prevention and treatment.

A healthy dog will be resistant to heartworm. I would highly recommend switching to at least 75% raw meat in the diet (bones included) and avoiding most commercial dog foods. Also, I recommend using NuVet™ Nutritional Supplement on a daily basis.
